Red ring of death....

I got it.... I was hoping i would sit on my first system for ever.... pfffssssttt

Welcome to the club. I hope you have better luck with the repair than I did. I had to make make 3 repair requests before I even got a box to send my Elite back. When they sent me the repaired unit, the dvd drive didn't work. It wouldn't play any games or movies or music discs. I sent it back and got another repaired unit. The dvd drive lasted 6 weeks and went out. I haven't sent it back yet because the warranty isn't up until march. I'm hoping the Elites start getting the new motherboard before then. After my elite went out the first time, I bought a used system to play on. When the second returned machine come back working, I decided to sell the used system. 2 weeks later is when the drive went out. At that point I totally hated Elites. I went out and bought a new 20gb pro system (the 60gb system wasn't out yet). It runs cooler after 5 hours than my elite did after 5 minutes. 2 weeks after I bought it the price went down. Damn you Microsoft. I will probably send the elite in soon. I would recomend buying the new 60gb pro system if you have repair problems. I use my Elite hard drive on my pro system. Sorry for the long, possibly confusing post guys.
